Yes, I am talking about glowing health- now and for as long as you live!! My philosophy has never changed; I believe in the body's natural ability to heal and renew itself. Drug free. Operation free. We were designed that way. Given the right food, exercise, and environment the human body can maximize its anti-aging powers. People think aging is accidental and haphazard, when in fact the science of aging is logical, predictable and manageable. That is good news for all of us! My " I GLOW"( TM) program is an acronym for five ways to dramatically slow aging. This is just an overview of the five principles I live by. Soon, I hope to have the e-book for you to purchase and download so you can enjoy all the knowledge that I have gained over the decades. Here they are: "I"- Inflammation Control. Aging is essentially an inflammatory condition and the main way to control this is in the foods we choose. Staying away from food allergens, balancing our hormones, especially insulin, taking out saturated fat, and keeping the correct ratios of Omega 3, 6 and 9's are just four ways to moderate inflammation. Add in anti-inflammatory foods and supplements like ginger and garlic and you are on the path! " G" - Go for Strength! Focus on POWER, and not as much on weight. Muscle is the engine that drives the anti-aging machine!! Build as much muscle fiber as you can in your life time to replace the fat. That is not only anti-aging but anti-disease. Plus, muscle mass burns more calories and will protect your bones and your whole body from injury. "L" - Live Foods. Raw, live foods are the absolute best that Nature has to offer! Not only do they have live enzymes and phyto-nutrients, but they are alkaline in PH and counter act all the acid foods we eat. The best way to enjoy live foods in by juicing them- the vitamins hide in the fiber and when you juice them,it breaks down the fiber and the vitamins and minerals are released. "O" - Oxygen. Make good use of it- It's free and it is a critical component to anti-aging. Your body needs oxygen to renew, clean and grow new cells. By pumping O2 into your body with exercise, you will spark every regenerative and growth hormone in your body!! Deep breathing exercises and stretching everyday will also aid in getting oxygen where it needs to go. And there are oxygen supporting supplements and foods that either mimic or maximize O2 intake. "W" -When 2 Protect. It won't be good to reach old age without an eye, skin cancer, a severe head injury or worse! Wear sunscreen everyday, plus seat belts, helmets, back braces, eye wear, dust masks, respirators, hearing protection- whatever it takes to protect yourself from environmental and air-born pollutants.
Remember, every good thing you do to invest in your health keeps you away from the negative tipping point.
